How to Negotiate Later Bedtime
Before you negotiate with someone, you need to think hard about what exactly it is that you want. Then you need to decide the boundaries of how far you can compromise. How flexible can you be? The more flexible, the better the chance of a successful negotiation. Finally you need to set aside a convenient time for both parties to discuss the matter.

If you want to find out how to negotiate with your parents, and with other people - read our article here

This is the fifth part of STORY A of our #sendastory project. You can read the entire story so far on this page.
This chapter was written by the pupils of ACG Strathallan in New Zealand.

As he placed the map in my trembling hands a bright, almost blinding light overwhelmed my vision.  A powerful force pushed against my chest, pounding at my heart. As my senses fought to recover themselves another unfamiliar scene revealed itself and I found myself alone again. A lonely, gothic looking mansion loomed over me, beckoning me and repelling me at the same time.

What is Procrastination?
I’ve been trying to write this article for a while, but, well. I mean, I’ve had the time, but there just seems to be so much else to do. Like rearranging my books or the clothes in my wardrobe into colour order. And yesterday, I just had to plait all the tassels on my blanket and look through all my old photo albums.
Sound familiar? Procrastination is the science, no, the art of doing trivial things whilst putting off something important, like doing your homework or, ahem, writing an article. But putting things off for too long can get you into trouble. It’s much better to get on with tidying your room or revising for an exam than it is to see how many two pence coins you can balance on your nose (I managed 5 yesterday).

Charity Shop Shopping

Do you want to save money and still look good? Do you want to be original but not so weird-looking people scatter when you approach?

We’ve already looked at the trend towards vintage clothes but how do you make sure you’re more chic than geek? Here’s my take on successful charity shop hopping. Perhaps you have some more you could add?

Why are Penguins Called Penguins?
These days, we all know what a penguin looks like. Even if you haven’t seen a real, live penguin, I’m sure you have seen pictures, perhaps watched them in a film. It seems strange to think that people in Europe had no idea they existed for so many centuries! Perhaps you have wondered about that part of history.
